Every person is different, which means every partnership is different too.
Your dog’s welfare will always be an important part of the process.

Helping you train your dog to help you

Living with a medical condition can affect everyday life in ways that other people don’t always see. For some people, a specially trained dog can provide practical support, greater confidence and a little more independence.

At Waggology, we offer friendly, individual training and support for people who would like to train their own dog as a medical alert or assistance dog.

Rather than simply training your dog for you, we work with you and your dog as a team. We’ll help you understand the training process, develop the skills you need and work towards behaviours that are genuinely useful in your day-to-day life.

What is a medical alert dog?

Medical alert dogs can be trained to recognise and respond to changes associated with certain medical conditions. Depending on the individual, the dog and the condition, this may include learning to alert their owner to a change or carrying out a helpful behaviour when an episode occurs.
